Hangar Lock Boxes

Door Lock Box Instructions

To enter the aircraft hangar, number 25 at the Veteran's Airport of Southern Illinois, enter the code in the lock box located on the hangar door.  Enter the combination and then pull down on the black button labeled A in the picture to the right and remove the front cover.  If you make a mistake entering the code, pull down on the black button labeled B in the picture to the right and reenter the correct code.

The key will be attached to the front cover.

To place the key and front cover back into the lock box, reenter the code and pull down on the black button labeled A in the picture to the right.  Make sure to hold the button down until the cover is completely in the box or you will have to reenter the code.  Once it is in, release the button and it will lock and reset itself.

Make sure to keep the key in the lock box and secured whenever not in use.

Key Cabinet Instructions

The aircraft keys are located in the black key cabinet located near the hangar entrance door.  Enter the combination, turn the knob clockwise to unlock the cabinet and then pull on the handle to open the door.  The keys to each aircraft are labeled.

To lock the cabinet, close the door, turn the knob counterclockwise, and change the combination to something other than the one listed above.

Make sure to keep the key cabinet locked and the keys secured whenever not in use.  And please return the keys when finished with your flights.
